Barn Build Update: Rain, Red Clay, and Exciting Progress
Today’s blog post brings a mix of challenges at SpringHaus Farm and progress for our venue located near Athens, Georgia. With the rain pouring down over most of Northeast Georgia, we had to put our grading plans on hold. Georgia's infamous red clay is splashing everywhere, turning the construction site into a bit of a muddy mess. But, despite the weather, we’re thrilled to share that the HVAC installation is still on track! Our white oak wedding barn is slowly but surely coming together, and we can’t wait to see the final result.

Georgia Red Clay Realities
If you’ve ever dealt with Georgia red clay, you know it’s a force to be reckoned with. Today’s rain over most of the Athens, Georgia area has made it particularly noticeable, and we’re already thinking ahead to maintenance. The doors, which are already exposed to the elements, will need to be polyurethaned sooner rather than later to keep them in pristine condition. At SpringHaus Farm, we are committed to ensuring every detail of our barn is ready for our future guests.
